What People's Say About Place

LOVE Sami’s Burrito Supreme!! It’s been a staple of ours for over 15 years.

Great food made to order. Reasonable prices. Sami and Amal are great people. Been coming here for years. Edit Oct 20 NEW OWNER-Lisa is as sweet as her awesome pecan pie! All kinds of new baked goodies and still the same great original menu. 5 thumbs up!

Everything is always great! I've never had a bad meal from here. The building is old & run down but it's definitely worth coming in. Breakfast sandwiches, burgers, 3way, dinners, etc. Give them a try if you're ever in the area.

I used to work in the area near Sami’s during college in the late 90s and this place was one of Tulsa’s best kept secrets as far as affordable home style breakfast was concerned. 23ish years later…my husband and I were in the area this morning dropping off our car for service and I thought out loud…”I wonder if that place is still around?” A quick Google search revealed that it not only survived all of the upheaval over the last couple years…but it was still serving breakfast! Good luck finding it on the map when you Google “breakfast restaurants near me open now”…you have to zoom into the square mile area near 47th and Mingo and search again for it to pop. I had to double check the address to make sure I turned on the right street (this little place is off the beaten path by several blocks tucked away in a business/industrial area) but I quickly found it and realized it was almost exactly how I remember it. Memories of my college years echoed in my mind as I walked inside this living time capsule. Very little has changed. Sami apparently sold the place to the new owner (a very nice lady) a couple of years ago but she has maintained Sami’s menu that made it a favorite among many who work in the area. Their pancakes are actually better than I remember…and that is saying something because I’m kind of particular about pancakes. I told my husband that their portion sizes were generous so we split the pancake special and still couldn’t finish everything. The meal and a can of soda was a little over $11. Pretty good for enough pancakes, sausage, and eggs to fill two adults (who admittedly don’t eat a ton but were hungry). Is this the best home style breakfast I’ve ever had? No. But it is tasty and hits the spot while being easier on the wallet if you have someone to share with. Plus the pancakes are better than most mom & pop places and chain restaurants I’ve been to over the years. Is the physical location perfect? No. It is an old convenience store turned little dining secret with good food surrounded by warehouses and assorted manufacturing businesses. Sometimes the old but clean places are some of the best ones you can find. It isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I like it. And will be returning again now that I have rediscovered it. I think the only complaint I have is the parking lot has pot holes large enough to devour small children…but if you go slow and pay attention…it isn’t an issue.

We get lunch from Sami’s fairly often. It’s one of the best places to get a burger or BLT. They have daily specials and they are always good. The entire staff at our shop loves their food.

An absolute hole in the wall BUT that's a good thing! Super friendly staff, amazing food and very generous portions. It reminds me of the places my grandparents took me when I was a kid. It's not pretty, but the world shrinks when you walk in. It reminds me of a simpler time.

Great food! Love their hash burrito with hot sauce!
